A personal invitation for a 50th birthday.
The raster is very coarse, in fact it’s 50% white / 50% black, and the paper on which everything is printed is also half-transparent.
This is meant to transport the idea that 50 is’nt that old an age and that the person might even still have half of his life in front of him.
What you can’t see in these pictures is that the unfolded invitation is full of raster-dots which, when taking a few steps backwards, show a coarsely rastered extract of a portrait of the birthday-child. The effect doesn’t really work on the photos as it does in real life, so I decided not to show it here.
